I would not recommend registering a company that you are planning to have dormant as it is admin heavy and no real benefits.

More importantly are to register the domaine name (www.youridea.com and you may want to secure .co.uk and .org as well). You can take your pick who to do this with, but if you Google 'domaine names' you will find a range of companies willing to do this service for a fee. I can't even remember who we used.

Also you will need to register the name as a trade mark - the costs involved in this will vary according to what you register i.e. for what territories, for what industry sector.

At some stage you can start to get heavily involved and start protecting all manner of things to do with your branding and the look of it to stop people emulating your ideas with a similar sounding / looking brand but that is way down the line and you will need to chat to an IP specialist about that. The Prettygoodlifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13797098888794399299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6887920473627645611.post-91480846222282823242010-02-24T13:33:46.192+00:002010-02-24T13:33:46.192+00:00Brilliant post, very useful for any mum thinking o...Brilliant post, very useful for any mum thinking of developing a product.
